On 08.02.2017 the State Employment Service held a Symposium on “The role of private employment agencies in providing legal employment abroad”.
The Symposium was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy, private employment agencies of Ukraine and board members of the State Social Security Fund in case of Unemployment.
Valeriy Yaroshenko, Acting Chairman of the State Employment Service, in his opening remarks noted that today the issue of employment abroad takes an important place, but the question of protection of the Ukrainian citizens’ rights abroad remains open. “We can solve these problems only with joint efforts of the state agencies, business community legal representatives and international organizations”, – said Valeriy Yaroshenko.
Managing Partner of the International legal center EUCON, President of the Ukrainian Business Association in Poland Yaroslav Romanchuk also took part in the Symposium. In his report Yaroslav highlighted the rights and responsibilities of employers and employees. “Issues related to employment, unfortunately, are not the simplest ones. A foreigner obtaining a legal work in Poland is to respect many legal requirements. Therefore, one of our goals is to increase legal literacy of our citizens “, – said Yaroslav Romanchuk. He also mentioned that on February 23, 2017 in Kyiv will be held an International Forum “Migration, work and study abroad”, the main purpose of which is to identify the problems that can arise when going abroad for employment.
Ireneusz Derek, Chairman of the International Recruiting Group GLOBAL JOB GATE spoke about the visa policy, work permits and other immigration issues. “The unstable economic situation makes the Ukrainian citizens look for the work abroad, so today we must find the ways to make this market legal for our citizens are protect them in a foreign country. That is why International Recruiting Group GLOBAL JOB GATE started cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland, the Embassy of Poland in Ukraine, the International Society of Polish Entrepreneurs in Ukraine and Ukrainian Business Association in Poland “- said Ireneusz Derek.
Among other speakers at the event there was the Director of the Labor Market and Employment Department of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine Serhii Kikina, Chairman of the State Service of Ukraine on labor Roman Chernega, Deputy Chairman of the State Employment Service Serhii Kravchenko, Lieutenant of the State Border Guard Service administration Inna Buresh and others.
Director of Development at work.ua Serhii Marchenko and the Head of export-analytical center at HeadHunter Ukraine Kateryna Mashchenko told about their studies of the labor market of Ukraine in 2016.
The Symposium ended with the “Sentiments among the Ukrainian seasonal workers” survey results, which was conducted last December by the Rating group.
