Ukrainian Business Association in Poland

On October 20, 2015 in Warsaw there was held a founding meeting regarding the establishment of Ukrainian Business Association in Poland supported by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland. At this stage the Association united Polish companies which founders are Ukrainian investors who started business in this country. They are representatives of IT sphere, mechanical engineering, instrument-making, alternative energy, food industry, agricultural sector.

The main tasks of the above-mentioned structure is to help Ukrainian businesses at the entrance and then during the expanding of  its presence on the Polish market in order to increase the amount of domestic goods and services exported to the Republic of Poland and other EU member states, lobbying the interests of Ukrainian businesses  in the Republic of Poland, exchange of experience and information, legal protection of the rights, interests and investments of Ukrainian business, preparing the proposals on adaptation and harmonization of the legislation of both countries to meet the requirements of the EU.

The Association will also provide legal and organizational support for business projects suggesting the ways of taking all the advantages of the free-trade zone between Ukraine and the EU.

Among other priorities there is systematic cooperation with the Polish government and local authorities, organizations, universities, research institutions and other entities.

Attorney, managing partner of the International Legal Center EUCON  Yaroslav Romanchuk was elected as the President of the Association.

Ireneusz Derek, general director of Plastics Ukraine became the Vice-President.

Oleg Dubish became the Head of the Association Council as the highest management body;  Vadim Sen, director of JSC Alpha Center was elected as his Deputy.

The founders of the Association also decided to create the Polish League of Ukrainian Students, taking into account the fact that about 28 000 Ukrainian students are now studying in Poland.

On the same day, at the official reception at the Embassy, Andrii Deshchytsia, Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland, congratulated on the foundation of the Association and promised to provide full support and assistance in the promotion of Ukrainian exports to the EU markets.
