Experts from the EUCON Legal Group discussed within the LHS consequences of Ukraine’s ratification of the MLI for business

On April 24, 2019 participants of the discussion Ratification of the MLI Convention – Implications for Business in Ukrainespoke about challenges to the MLI Convention for Business within the Legal High School Discussion Hub. In particular, Yaroslav Romanchuk, the managing partner of the EUCON Legal Group, and Larysa Vrublevska, the partner and the manager of the TP practice, took part in the discussion.

Experts discussed a number of topical issues regarding the ratification of the MLI Convention through the business purposes: thus, the key provisions of the MLI Convention, which the business should be aware of; algorithms for assessing the “firmness” of corporate structures for compliance with MLI and non-obvious risks; new emphasis on tax planning in the light of MLI; further implementation of the provisions of the BEPS plan is an aspect of the action plan for the government and parliament; further implementation of the provisions of the BEPS plan is an aspect of the business plan.

The event  was also attended by: Natalia Blazhivska – IFA Ukraine President, Vice President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Administrative Judges, Yevgeny Kozlov – Senior Project Manager of the Reform Support Office under the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and others.
